Boiler noisy??, One of the signs that sludge and debris is building up is weird noises coming from the boiler, bangs and sudden surges can be heard if so then an inspection and powerflush of the system will solve this and be cheaper than a new boiler!

Having a new boiler? When a boiler is renewed, the boiler manufacturers’ Benchmark scheme requires that the system be thoroughly cleansed to the BS7593:2006 Code of Practice. Currently, best industry practice is considered to be to power flush the system.

When do you need descaling?
Poor Hot water? If you are finding that when you turn the tap on fully it’s running cold for a long period of time or goes cold when fully open then a descaling is of benefit as this is a sign that the boiler or cylinder is having a problem creating hot water.
Do you have a Gledhill Boilermate or Pulsacoil? These have small capacity heat exchangers which become blocked with calcium deposits not only slowing the hot water flow but also causing the blender valve to become brittle and snap causing a lack of hot water at the taps.
